7 Things to Consider When Buying A Home

Luxury kitchens are synonymous with over-the-top decor, all the appliances and gadgets you could ever want, and not a whole lot of cooking happening. But lately I’ve been seeing a lot of luxury kitchens that are tasteful and practical.  I’ve put together a list of 5 amazing kitchens so luxurious...you won’t want to cook in them.

This kitchen oozes luxury with it’s six-burner commercial grade Russell Range BBQ, two sub-zero refrigerators, two Bosch dishwashers, and an icemaker. The pantry is practically a second kitchen, this kitchen has every appliance and gadget you could ever need to put a meal together...including private chefs.

A popular way to take a kitchen up a notch is by adding commercial-grade elements to it. This trend is demonstrated in this residential kitchen. HGTV describes it best:

“Functionally, the room was laid out to maximize prep space for cooking; visually, the sense of immense space was heightened by using three different types of engineered stone for the backsplash, the countertop and the island topper. The neutral background is broken with a dash of bright orange in the light fixtures--an easily changeable feature when you’re in the mood for a different colour.”

If having a fireplace in your kitchen isn’t glamorous, then I don’t know what is. This kitchen has so much character adding rich natural tones to the light floors and cabinets, and a punch of industrial design in the appliances. The antique Italian etagere and light French doors are pulled from different design backgrounds, but together they create an impressive space.

If you’re drawn to bright, airy kitchens, you’ll be dreaming about this kitchen tonight. This layout has a casual element with the island seating, but that doesn’t mean it’s not as extravagant as the rest. There’s nothing more luxurious than a custom kitchen; it’s unique and can be whatever you want it to be. This is a beautiful open-concept kitchen with a Wolf 48-inch gas range with charbroiler and griddle, any chef’s dream stove.

This fantastic kitchen mixes different materials, finishes and colours to create a dynamic space. The light fixtures add an element of glamour without being over-the-top and taking attention away from the rest of the kitchen. Some features that make this kitchen quite luxurious include: a built-in coffee maker, steam oven, and paneled Subzero refrigerator and fridge units. Paneling is a great solution if you want to hide large appliances to balance your colour scheme and contrast.

These kitchens have some many unique elements and fantastic decor, but what it really comes down to is who is in your kitchen. When you’re looking for the perfect home for your family, whether you’re searching for a move-in ready house or something you can upgrade, find the space that fits your family and lifestyle.
